The 15th May saw weeks of preparation finally come together in the 1st Annual Children’s Fayre for L.I.V.E. Charity.

The sun was shining and the day was a phenomenal success, with approx 500 visitors, both local and holiday makers. Families enjoyed the market stalls, the games, activities and entertainment and raised more than €2,000 for charity.

This day would not have been the huge success it was without the generosity of those who gave up their time and donated services.

L.I.V.E. would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all who volunteered & sponsored the event including

2010 Wish List PDF Print E-mail

L.I.V.E, the ex-pat charity is launching a 2010 wish list appeal to support the Malaga Childens Home.

The children of La Ciudad de los Ninos have been rescued by the local authority from all manner of abuse. There are more than 50 resident children in the Home with another one hundred street children, aged between 4 and 18 years old, simply abandoned on the streets of the nearby shanty town for whom the Home also provides a safe haven.

We are delighted that so many people want to support our cause and the response we had to the Christmas appeal was overwhelming. These children have so very little of their own and we need to send a strong signal to these boys and girls that despite the difficult financial times we all find ourselves in, someone still cares about them and the help doesn't just stop after Christmas.

Thats why we're hoping to raise donations of the following much needed items:

  • Boys shoes, sizes 38-45
  • Rucksacks or suitcases (lightweight, not with wheels) for when they leave
  • Flip flops for in the showers, sizes 39-45
  • Hair-clippers
  • Toiletry sets

Food

  • Oil - olive or sunflower
  • Chocolate spread
  • Coca cao, hot chocolate
  • Large tins of tuna
  • Frozen food i.e. fish, meat, chicken (No pork products please)
  • Other non-perishable foods
